Designed around the people using it

Before I write a line of code, I want to understand who will use this and how. That's not extra work. It's the work that makes everything else worthwhile.

That includes the people who are easy to forget, like someone using a screen reader or someone who opens the tool once a month and has forgotten how it works. I design so they get through without help. When it works for them, it usually works better for everyone else too.
