General
We process personal data only to the extent necessary and on the basis of the GDPR, the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG), and the Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021). Below we inform you about which data we process when you visit this website and use the contact form, for which purposes, and on which legal basis.
Fonts are self-hosted; no third-party fonts (e.g. Google Fonts) are loaded. We do not embed any content delivery networks (CDNs) or social-media plugins.
Server Log Files
When this website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically records access data in so-called server log files. This includes the IP address, the date and time of access, the requested URL or resource, the referrer URL, and information about the browser or user agent used.
This data is processed to ensure the secure and stable operation of the website and to fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website).
The log files are stored only for a short period for security purposes and are, as a rule, deleted after 7 days at the latest, unless they are exceptionally needed longer to investigate a specific security incident.
Cookies
This website uses a functional first-party cookie named "cp-lang", which stores the site language you have chosen (en/de). The cookie has a maximum storage period of one year and is set with SameSite=Lax.
This cookie is technically necessary/functional and serves solely to preserve your setting. Under § 165(3) TKG 2021 it does not require consent, but it is disclosed here. We do not use any consent-requiring cookies and completely refrain from web analytics, tracking, advertising, profiling, and third-party cookies. For this reason, there is also no cookie-consent banner on this website.
Contact Form
Via the contact form ("Let's talk") you can send us an enquiry. In doing so, we collect your name and your e-mail address (required fields), optionally your phone number and your organisation, the content of your message, and the language you used.
After submission, this data is on the one hand stored in the website's database and on the other hand sent by e-mail: a notification to office@codeplanet.at and an automatic confirmation to you as the sender. Sending is carried out via Zoho's SMTP service. The purpose of the processing is to receive and answer your enquiry.
Depending on the nature of your enquiry, the legal basis is Art 6(1)(b) GDPR (taking pre-contractual steps at your request) or, insofar as it is a general enquiry without any contractual context, Art 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering your enquiry) or Art 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent).
The details marked as required fields (name, e-mail) are necessary in order to process and answer your enquiry; without this information we cannot handle your enquiry. The remaining details (phone, organisation) are voluntary.
To protect against spam, we use a hidden form field (honeypot) and an IP-based restriction on submission frequency (rate limit). These measures serve solely for security and abuse prevention.
Recipients and Processors
To provide this website and to handle your enquiries, we use carefully selected service providers as processors, with each of whom a data processing agreement (AV-Vertrag) is in place.
The website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, which operates the website and processes the aforementioned server log files on our behalf. Since the data submitted via the contact form is stored in the website's database, the hosting provider is also a recipient and processor of this stored enquiry data.
For sending e-mails from the contact form, we use Zoho (ZOHO Corporation) via its EU data centre (zoho.eu); Zoho is thus a recipient and processor of the enquiry content transmitted by e-mail. The data remains within the European Union. No data is transferred to third countries.
Storage Period
We store enquiries from the contact form only for as long as this is necessary to handle your request and as long as we are subject to statutory retention obligations (e.g. under §§ 132 BAO, 212 UGB, up to seven years if a business relationship arises). Otherwise, the data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed.
Server log files are stored only for a short period for security purposes and are, as a rule, deleted after 7 days at the latest.
Your Rights
With regard to your personal data, you have the following rights: the right of access (Art 15 GDPR), rectification (Art 16 GDPR), erasure (Art 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art 18 GDPR), data portability (Art 20 GDPR), and the right to object to processing (Art 21 GDPR).
If you have consented to a processing operation, you can withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future (ex nunc) pursuant to Art 7(3) GDPR. The lawfulness of the processing carried out up to the withdrawal remains unaffected. To exercise your rights, please contact office@codeplanet.at.
No Automated Decision-Making
No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art 22 GDPR, takes place.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The supervisory authority competent for Austria is the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Wien, telephone +43 1 52 152-0, e-mail dsb@dsb.gv.at, www.dsb.gv.at.
